Room Pack - Water Underfloor Heating Extension Pack
These "off the shelf" water underfloor heating packs are ideal for use in new-build extensions. They work perfectly well in conjunction with an existing radiator system, a 2 way value (supplied) simply controls the supply of water to the underfloor heating circuit.
This is a very easy way to incorporate underfloor heating, with all its benefits, into your extension project. If you are going to have a new screed floor laid in your extension then why not heat it?
We supply two sizes of Room Pack, for up to 24 square metre rooms or for up to 40 square metre rooms.

Installation
Room Pack 24 will cover up to 24 sqm at 200mm pipe spacing (centre to centre). This will produce approximately 100W/sqm when used with a tiled floor finish. By reducing the pipe spacing to 150mm centre-to-centre you will increase the floor output to approximately 140W/sqm (tiled floor finish). However this will reduce the maximum coverage area to approx. 17 sqm. Pack 24 is supplied with a 2 way manifold and the area should be divided by laying 2 circuits of equal pipe length from the 120m length of pipe supplied. This ensures an equal flow rate through each circuit and thus an even spread of heat throughout the room.
Room Pack 40 will cover up to 40 sqm at 200mm centre-to-centre. At 150mm centre-to-centre the maximum coverage area is approx. 28 sqm.
Room Pack 40 is supplied with a 3 way manifold and the area should be divided by laying 3 circuit of equal pipe length from the 200m length of pipe supplied.
In rooms with 1 or 2 exterior walls that feature a high percentage of glazing, the pipe spacing should be reduced in these areas to counteract the cold fall of air from the glazing. (NOTE: This will reduce the achievable maximum coverage area).
Room Pack requires no prior experience or any specialist tools to install and arrives pre-built, complete with everything that you will need to install it; flexible 17mm PEX underfloor heating pipe, system controls, and a comprehensive installation manual. Room Pack installations typically require two full working days. However, this is dependent on the specific project and can vary.
Performance
A Room Pack system produces a maximum heat output of 140 W/sqm in screeded floors. You must ensure this meets the heating requirement of the room and that the boiler has sufficient capacity.
Floor Coverings
For optimum performance hard surfaces such as ceramic tiles, slate, stone and marble are recommended as they provide the best transfer of heat.
Timber floor can be used, provided that the timber is well seasoned or kiln dried. We recommend you contact your timber supplier for advice.
Although carpets resist heat transfer more than other coverings, if simple guidelines are followed, the efficiency of the underfloor heating will not be affected. The combined value of carpet and underlay should not exceed 2.5 tog.
Delivery
Delivery will typically be 1 - 3 working days on orders received before 12pm.
