FHO Tile Backer Board

FHO Tile Backer Board is available in 10mm thickness and is suitable for use under tiles. Used with our electric underfloor heating it reduces warm up time and increase efficiency.

Product Description

FHO Tile Backer Boards are a high compression strength insulation board for use with electric underfloor heating systems. Both light weight and extremely versatile it consists of a high density foam core with glass fibre reinforced polymer modified cement faces.

10mm FHO Tile Backer Board should be fitted on a solid bed of flexible tile adhesive. The boards are laid chequer-board fashion so that the joins are offset. Then the heating cables or mats are laid over the FHO Tile Backer Board and either covered in a flexible latex screed or a solid bed of flexible tile adhesive. The floor should then be tiled with flexible adhesive and grout.
